The pollster who has consistently been among the most accurate at capturing Trump voters has a prediction for November: Voters will reject Democratic socialist candidates.
Instead of simply choosing between a Republican and a Democrat, respondents were asked whether they would support a Republican candidate who supports free-market capitalism or a Democratic candidate who supports big-government socialism.
The result was striking. Republicans went from a virtual tie on the generic ballot to a commanding 49% to 36% advantage.
