California Exodus: Gen Z Moving to Texas

California Exodus Watch — Gen Z is packing up and moving out.
 
California is losing its youngest adults faster than any other state.
 
A LendingTree analysis of Census data finds nearly 187,000 left the state, with more than 19,000 heading to Texas alone.
 
For Gen Z, California has expensive housing, high taxes and a rising cost of living, making affordability is a major consideration.
 
And here’s the bigger concern for California: these young adults are entering the workforce, building careers, buying homes and potentially starting families.
 
And California is losing them and it future workforce and tax base.
