Apply Here To Volunteer for LA28 Olympic Games

By Jeff Vaughn

The countdown to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics just hit another milestone.

LA28 has officially opened applications for its Games-time Volunteer Program, with organizers looking to recruit up to 60,000 volunteers to help stage both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Volunteers will serve in a wide range of roles, including athlete services, spectator assistance, venue operations, ceremonies, communications, technology, transportation, medical support and language services.

To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old when they apply, be proficient in English and commit to at least 10 non-consecutive eight-hour shifts during the Games.

The volunteer program is open to applicants from around the world—not just Southern California. During the application process, volunteers can indicate their preferred venue locations and the types of assignments that interest them most, although final placements will depend on operational needs.

The 2028 Summer Olympics will run from July 14 through July 30, with the Paralympic Games following from Aug. 15 through Aug. 27.
