Kentucky Fried Chicken has permanently closed 44 restaurants across California in less than a year– more than any other state. This as KFC is expanding into other states and internationally.
With mandated state minimum wage of $20 an hour for fast food workers, population loss, high taxes and a shrinking workforce — apparently even Colonel Sanders is finding California is too tough a place to do business.
