Want info on California? That will be $66 per hour under proposed bill

By Jeff Vaughn

Since California is run by Democrats, and Democrats are the party behind No Kings, then why are California Democrats making it so hard to get public information? Because Democrats want to be kings, and they are hypocrites.

California Assembly Bill 1821 would allow government agencies to charge hefty fees for public records requests and even haul citizens into court if officials decide a request was made with “malicious intent.” Under the proposal, if you’re a California taxpayer hoping to find out how your tax dollars are being spent, agencies can charge $88 an hour to compile the documents.
Because in the Golden State, transparency is no longer treated like a right of the people — it’s becoming a privilege granted by the kings in Sacramento, who may soon decide what you get to see, how much you’ll pay for it, and whether you’re worthy of asking in the first place.

Who introduced this garbage? Democrat Assemblywoman Blancha Pacheco.
