What’s Wrong With Sheriff Bianco?

He must return the Prop 50 ballots he has grabbed as part of his investigation into vote fraud, but that’s not unexpected. What is really curious is why the Riverside Sheriff, Republican, former candidate for California Governor–bested by Steve Hilton–why won’t Bianco endorse Hilton?
In July Bianco was queried about his plans as reported by the Sacramento Bee and a podcast with Kira Davis. When was asked if he planned to endorse Hilton, his response was, “At this point, no, I’m concentrating on my job as sheriff, making Riverside County better.”
Reportedly there have been efforts to get the Sheriff to back the GOP candidate, for the sake of party unity, but to no avail. It really seems that after all these weeks, an endorsement by Bianco isn’t exactly going to change the governor’s race, but the Hilton campaign could use some additional firepower, the California Republican Party could use some unity, and Bianco could use some positive news.
Of course, the Sheriff advises suspects he arrests that they have the right to remain silent. Yes, he has the right to remain silent. But he shouldn’t.
