A man apparently known to the Secret Service and who may have had a court order to stay away, took shots at the officers protecting the perimeter. The shooter was then taken down in a hail of gunfire, that may have injured a bystander. The shooter is named and believed to have mental problems, but let’s call it what it is: anyone who would take shots at the Secret Service, let alone the White House is the definition of mentally ill.
