Swalwell: Out of Gov Race, Quits Congress in Shame

Update: Under an avalanche of allegations, Eric Swalwell quits his congressional seat. With another sex scandal charge expected in Los Angeles tomorrow and with a tough-to-count number of sex charges already levied over the weekend, the 7-term Congressman is resigning. He has shuttered his campaign for governor, leaving the Democrats scrambling to amass his supporters for their own campaigns, it should be remembered that he may have pulled out, but he will still be on the primary ballot. Read more here

The velocity at which the Swalwell case unfolding is breathtaking. His support has melted away, and if the allegations–the ever growing allegations– are true, he needs to not just quit the governor race or resign from Congress, he better spend his time assembling a legal Dream Team.
