A jury has returned a $19 million civil verdict against the former star, once known as “America’s Dad”. The sexual assault charges stem from a meeting in 1972. Bill Cosby is now 88 and has had a history of sex charges lodged against him.
His 2018 conviction on sex charges was vacated by the courts, and he was released from prison in 2021.
