California voters passed Prop 36 addressing the state’s crime problem and increasing public safety. Gov. Gavin Newsom refuses to fund it at an estimated cost of $250M. Prop 50 addresses no state issues, but a perceived national issue and Newsom approved the $250M cost. See what his priorities are. One protects California and was democratically voted on by the people. The other takes away the state’s independent, citizen-led redistricting commission, and uses money from the people for a non-state issue.
Prop 36 helps California. Prop 50 helps Gavin Newsom.
