By Jeff Vaughn Southern California rail riders face two disruptions—one underground, another along the coast.
Three of Metro’s newest D Line stations closed today: Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax and Wilshire/La Cienega.
Crews are replacing temporary electrical equipment and preparing for the next extension. Free shuttle buses run every ten minutes from Wilshire/Western. Stations reopen November second.
And starting Monday, Metrolink will suspend Orange County Line service between Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and Oceanside through Friday because of forecast high tides.
No replacement buses will be provided. Amtrak plans to keep running as conditions allow.
Taking the train? First, make sure there is one.
