The Department of State created a special U.S. passport (“Patriot Passport”) to commemorate the historic occasion of America’s 250th anniversary. This special passport has custom artwork and enhanced images on the front, back, and inside covers. It has all the same advanced security features that make the U.S. passport the most secure travel and identity document in the world. The Department is now offering Americans across the country the opportunity to apply for one of these 250,000 special and historic passports.
In response to popular demand, the Department of State is offering Americans across the United States special opportunities to apply for the limited-edition commemorative passport (“Patriot Passport”) at all of our passport agencies and centers. We still continue to issue the special passport at the Washington Passport Agency in Washington, D.C.
