If it is actually enforced. It is called ‘Daylighting’–designed to keep parked cars form obstructing the view of pedestrians in crosswalks. Break the law–and get caught–it will cost you $63. It is worth asking if this is really going to be effective, given the utter failure of Project Vision Zero–the road diet plan to have zero pedestrians killed by cars by last year, that cost tax dollars and actually killed more pedestrians than when it started. And while you’re at it, please take note if you have a ‘non-conforming vehicle’ (an illegal, eye-sore, homeless RV?), if you park illegally, you will get a $63 fine–so they say.
