But apparently it is not new news. A Tucson TV station received two ‘ransom’ notes shortly after the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mom Nancy in February, the second note saying she had died. ABC News reports:“The first note demanded cryptocurrency for Nancy Guthrie’s return. The second note, according to sources, said she had died shortly after she was taken and was buried in nature.” Allegeded ransom notes were received by various media outlets, but Nancy Guthrie remains missing.
