Karen Bass is trailing Nithya Raman in all three independent polls tracked by the Los Angeles news site The Basin.
Its updated roundup puts Raman’s lead between six and eleven points heading toward the November third mayoral runoff.
The latest survey, conducted by McLaughlin and Associates for the California Post, shows Raman at nearly 47 percent, Bass at roughly 39 percent, with about 14 percent undecided.
That survey of 400 likely voters did not publish a margin of error.
Bass also faces troubling job ratings: nearly 72 percent disapprove of her performance as mayor, compared with about 26 percent who approve.
The Basin report separates independent surveys from polls paid for by campaigns or groups backing a candidate.
And undecided voters remain a major factor—ranging from roughly 14 percent to a third across those independent polls.
Raman has the polling advantage. Whether Bass can close that gap will be decided November 3rd.
