As reported in the Financial Times, Mate Security has raised $35 million in Series A funding, bringing its total funding to more than $50 million. The round was backed by Canaan Partners, Insight Partners, and Team8, with participation from all of Mate’s existing investors. It comes just eight months after the company emerged from stealth. Founded by veterans of Wiz and Microsoft, Mate is building an open, agentic platform designed to help enterprises detect, investigate, and respond to AI-scale cyberattacks. The platform uses a Security Context Graph to give AI agents a deep understanding of each organization—helping them distinguish genuine threats from legitimate business activity and act with greater speed and precision. make headlines Mate says adoption among Fortune 500 enterprises has helped drive growth of more than 500 percent since the third quarter of 2025. The new funding will support rising demand, expansion into new markets, and the continued development of its AI security operations platform.
