Should they even be allowed to sell stuff on the streets without permits and licenses? There was some vendor chaos over the weekend on Santa Monica in WeHo…but this raises the issue of street vendors just plopping down and selling their wares pretty much wherever they want. It seems there are complex and anti-business rules–passed by the state (read here) that preclude stores and cities from stopping this obviously unfair practice that is consuming West Hollywood and the city of LA.
